Schuurmans & van Ginneken (SvG) was founded in 1925 as an agricultural commodity trading company. Since then, SvG has developed into a leading international trader and distributor of molasses and related products. In 1985, the company became a subsidiary of ED&F Man Limited (London), a privately-owned company involved in sourcing, delivery and distribution of Sugar, Cocoa, Coffee and Spices.

SvG constitutes the link between the producers of sugar and its by-products and the consumers in the animal feed and fermentation industries. Specializing in sourcing, shipping and storing molasses of various origins, SvG delivers a wide range of products to compound feed millers, farmers and customers in the fermentation industry (monosodium glutamate, alcohol, citric acid, yeast, etc) in European and Far Eastern markets. Other important products are sugar beet pulp pellets and organic fertilisers. Through it’s trading business, SvG provides the benefit of guaranteed performance for suppliers and consumers.

The SvG corporate office is located in Weesp. Together with its US-based sister company, Westway Trading, SvG has a worldwide network of sales offices and storage facilities. This strong infrastructure enables SvG to optimise its service delivery to both its customers and suppliers.
